No employment relationship exists between The Village and any caregiver or family member using the platform. Any agreement for care services is strictly between the caregiver and the family.

5. Background Checks and Verification

The Village does not conduct background checks, verify credentials, or validate qualifications. Our identity verification feature only confirms that a user has submitted an identification document—it does not verify qualifications, experience, criminal history, or fitness to provide care services.

Users are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence, including background checks, reference verification, credential validation, and interviews before engaging in any care arrangement.

6. Payment Terms

All payments for care services are to be handled directly between caregivers and families outside of this platform. The Village does not process, facilitate, or manage any payments for care services.

Users are responsible for establishing their own payment terms, methods, and schedules. The Village is not involved in any financial transactions and bears no responsibility for payment disputes.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE VILLAGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any injuries, accidents, or incidents occurring during care services
• Acts or omissions of any caregiver or family member
• Quality, safety, or legality of care services provided
• Disputes between users regarding services, payments, or conduct
• Loss, damage, or theft of property
• Misrepresentation of qualifications, experience, or intentions by users
• Failure of users to comply with applicable laws and regulations

8. Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend that all caregivers obtain appropriate liability insurance and professional indemnity coverage. Families should verify that caregivers have adequate insurance before engaging their services.

10. Emergency Protocols
